Before & After: Full House Renovation in Beeston

Follow the transformation of a 1930s semi in Beeston — from crumbling plaster and dated fittings to a modern, warm family home. See the full before and after.

The Property

This 1930s three-bedroom semi-detached in Beeston came to us with original single-skin walls, a failing bathroom, a tired kitchen, and decades of woodchip wallpaper hiding uneven plasterwork throughout. The owners had just completed their purchase and wanted a complete transformation before moving in.

Scope of Work

  • Full replaster throughout all rooms
  • New kitchen with quartz worktops and integrated appliances
  • Full bathroom replacement including wetroom shower
  • Ground floor LVT flooring throughout
  • New staircase balustrade and oak handrail
  • Full redecoration — walls, ceilings, and woodwork

The Challenges

The original plaster in two bedrooms had blown from the walls, requiring complete removal back to the brick. We also discovered the kitchen had no damp-proof course at the external wall — something we rectified before fitting the new units.

The Result

The project took 11 weeks from start to completion. The owners moved into a home that felt brand new while retaining its 1930s character — original coving was repaired and kept, and the front bay window was restored rather than replaced. The total project value was £62,000.
